What happens next?
- You'll receive an email from VietinBank to register for online banking
- Care Concept will send you registration details for your insurance portal
- Register for BOTH portals to access all your visa documents
2. Transfer Funds
- 1-2 business days
- VietinBank emails you the IBAN on the next working day (Mon-Fri)
- Transfer the blocked amount + €100 buffer + fees to the provided IBAN
- Wait for confirmation email when funds arrive
Documents you'll receive:
- Blocked account confirmation (VietinBank online banking)
- Incoming insurance confirmation (Care Concept portal)
3. Attend Visa Appointment
- Depends on embassy
- Schedule your appointment at the German embassy/consulate
- Download all documents from your portals before the appointment
- Bring printed copies of all BASTI documents
Required BASTI documents:
- Blocked account confirmation from VietinBank
- Incoming insurance confirmation from Care Concept
- Student/job seeker insurance documents (if applicable)
4. Arrive in Germany
- Activate your blocked account via WebID
- Your blocked account in now ready to use
- Your bank account will also be opened
Documents needed for activation:
- Valid passport with German visa
- Registration certificate (Meldebescheinigung) issued by the registry office (Einwohnermeldeamt)
- Tax ID (Steuer-ID) also issued by the registry office
5. Settle in Germany
- Your debit card, PIN, and instructions arrive by mail
- Ensure your name is clearly visible on your letterbox
- Health insurance card (Gesundheitskarte) arrives at your German address

- German bank account with IBAN
- Debit card for shopping and cash withdrawals, e.g. in supermarkets
- Monthly withdrawals from your blocked account
- Full insurance coverage
