The blocked account is essential for your German student visa as a proof that you can afford life in Germany. As a student you are required to deposit a blocked amount of € 992.00 per month plus a one-time buffer of € 100.00.

Incoming Insurance
An incoming insurance (travel health insurance) is also required for your visa appointment. With BASTI you get your coverage at Care Concept for free. Of course, you will receive an insurance confirmation for coverage of up to 180 days. Coverage is worth up to € 153.00 and you are covered by the renowned provider Care Concept.

Private Health Insurance Care Student
Students over the age of 30 need health insurance coverage for enrolment at university and the electronic registration (M10). As public health insurance for students over 30 is expensive in Germany, we offer private health insurance coverage in the Care Student plan by renowned provider Care Concept. The Care Student plan offers you the following benefits:

- Free choice of doctors and shorter waiting times for doctors’ appointments (“Privatpatient”)

You will have to answer health-related questions in the online application process and a yearly deductible of € 300 applies.
Private Liability and Accident Insurance
Benefit from private liability and accident insurance by the renowned provider Care Concept (Care Protector plan). Accident insurance protects you from costs resulting from accidents. Liability insurance covers the costs that arise in the case you cause damage to someone else or someone else’s property, if you lose your apartment keys and in many other cases.
